CCDPH Announces Open Call for Over $14 million in Community Grants for Behavioral Health Interventions  
• Cook County Department of Public Health will be awarding over $14 million in grant funding across four years to expand mental health and substance use prevention, treatment, and support in suburban Cook County.

• Grants will range from $250,000 to over $1 million each and are part of the Building Healthy Communities Behavioral Health Initiative, funded under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The application deadline is December 7.

CMAP Seeking Nominations for 2023 Regional Excellence Awards
• CMAP invites you to submit award nominations for the 2023 Regional Excellence Awards. The agency seeks nominations for individuals and projects that prioritize equity, strengthen the resiliency of our 284 communities, and make them more economically competitive.

• Nominations are due by Friday, December 16.
• The Village of Park Forest will partner with the Commission on Human Relations and Sisters Working it Out for a hat, scarf, and glove giveaway on December 10 from 10am-12pm

• This event will take place at the Village of Park Forest Village Hall.
• The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking project proposals for a new competitive freight grant program that aims to improve the mobility of freight throughout the State of Illinois.

Applications are due December 19.

Just in Time for Winter - SPC Awards New Liquid Calcium Chloride Contract

• The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Governing Board is pleased to announce the award of the 2022-23 Liquid Calcium Chloride Contract (#213) to Sicalco Ltd., from December 5, 2022, through December 4, 2023. The SPC reserves the right to extend the contract for up to four (4) additional, one-year terms upon mutual agreement of both the vendor and the SPC on a negotiated basis. Orders shall be placed with the vendor and Sicalco Ltd. will handle all billing directly to reflect the following contract pricing: Price/Gallon: $0.52 Delivery: $0.19 Total: $0.71.
