YOUTH BEACH RETREAT
At the beginning of the month, our Youth headed to the Isle of Palms for our annual Beach Retreat! We had an excellent time together and we packed a lot into 48 hours.

In addition to beach time, we went into Charleston and visited the Charleston History Museum. We also visited the gardens at the new International African American Museum (the museum itself was closed the day we visited, but the Youth are interested in returning when it's open).

Click on the video below to hear what each Youth's favorite part of the trip was! Click HERE to see some photos from the trip.

Thank you for supporting our Youth as they grow in relationships with God and one another!
Grace Family,

It is so hard to put into words what your love and prayers have meant to us during this time. We have read every message and card and felt all of the prayers lifting us up. We have been hugged and checked on and fed. It is overwhelming and so very appreciated. We thank you for helping hold us up during such a devastating time.

With thanks and love,
Paula Gatlin, Sarah Lowrance, Ashley Williams, Anna Ewing, and families
Dr. Cynthia Roddey and the AARP will be offering Driver Safety Classes at Grace on September 18 and November 20th.

Grace Craft Group
Meets on Tuesday, September 5 from 11am - 1pm in room 107. This group is for crafters of any skill level and any craft, with the group’s purpose to craft items that will be donated to different organizations in need of those items.
We are exploring the opportunity to restart a quilting group at Grace! We need your input to determine what interest there may be, what the focus could be, and when to meet.

Here's the Scoop
There is much to celebrate - 345 different women and 31 children served, 52 women who have secured employment & 33 women who have been placed into housing. This event will shine a spotlight on the lives of these inspiring women & provide an insightful glimpse of homelessness in our community that will certainly challenge your perspective. You will hear stories from former residents & see first hand how your investment in The Life House is making a difference! This is sure to be a "sweet" experience, & we hope you will join us!

Grace Member / Friend Memories
One of the ways we will be celebrating the rich history of Grace this year is to hear about its impact on the lives of its members.

These do not need to be very long - even a single paragraph would be fine. Simply share with us your perspective, the way your story and Grace's story came together, and we will publish these remembrances in these Grace Notes publications throughout the year.
Email your memories to 100years@gracerockhill.com
Centennial Temple Talks

As a part of Grace's 100th Anniversary Celebration, we will share a Temple Talk highlighting Grace's history through the decades on the first Sunday of each month, from March through December.
