Be Born in Us Today Advent Series

Sunday, December 4

Join us for the Be Born in Us Today special service for the Second Sunday of Advent, a season when we are reminded of the birth of Christ. In this service, we remember that the prophet Isaiah declared that a Holy One from God would be born into this world to bring renewal to all the faint and weary. That Holy One was Jesus. And he is born in us today.

  1. There's plenty of seating. You don't have to RSVP, but it is helpful to our count for the reception following the service. RSVP here.
  2. Masks are required by the church.
  3. Processing clergy are asked to wear cassock, surplice, and white stole (Alb is ok, too.)
  4. Come to the right place. Use this address in your GPS: 4247 Creighton Road, Henrico, VA. (Saint Paul's Baptist Church has more than one campus.)
  5. Come prepared to celebrate this joyous occasion!

Sunday School Resumes

Starts on December 11, 2022

St. Philip's church school leaders are happy to announce that Sunday school classes will return next month. At this time, we need input from our church family. Please take a moment to click on the link below and fill out the brief survey. This survey is intended to help us gather information on how we can make Sunday school a more exciting experience for our St. Philip's youth. As always, we are looking for helpful advice from our church family that will assist us to enhance the experience of St. Philip's children. Thank you for your time and input.

Christmas Poinsettias

With the help of our parishioners each year, beautiful red poinsettias fill our parish church throughout the Christmas season. Please consider purchasing a live poinsettia plant for $20 to donate in memory of a loved one this Christmas.

Donation forms are available in the atrium of church that can be placed in the plate on Sundays. Or contact Diem, 804-321-1266 with your dedications.

Last day to donate is Sunday, December 18. Checks should be written to St. Philip's church, earmarked "Poinsettias for Christmas."

Advent Devotion Book

Books are available for you to pick up on Sundays in the atrium of the church. These devotions walk us through the Scripture passages opening and preparing our hearts to welcome Jesus Christ who is and was and who will be. We are not alone. God has been and will always be with us.
