Here’s where we’re heading:

- 10th-graders will be visiting Portland from Monday, February 26 to Friday, March 1 to participate in volunteering and outdoor recreation;
- 11th-graders will be touring historic landmarks in the American South from Sunday, February 25 to Sunday, March 3 to learn about the Civil Rights Movement, music, and more; and

One of the most exciting aspects is the opportunity to step out of their comfort zones and embrace new experiences. Educational travel exposes our students to different cultures, traditions, and ways of life, fostering empathy, tolerance, and understanding. This firsthand experience can break down stereotypes and prejudices. It's a chance to broaden their horizons, challenge their perspectives, and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. After all, the students will not be tourists; they will be travelers. Faculty members will facilitate experiences that will challenge the students’ thinking, all the while connecting the encounters to the lessons we’ve been learning in the classroom.
Together we will create memories and gain knowledge from our journeys. Kehillah educational travel holds the promise of adventure, discovery, and endless learning opportunities.
I will leave you with an excerpt of Tefilat Haderech, the Traveler’s Prayer:
...direct our steps in peace, and guide us in peace, and support us in peace, and cause us to reach our destination in life, joy, and peace, and return us in peace.
