My beloved speaks
and says to me:

“Arise, my love,
my beautiful one,
and come away,

~ Song of Solomon 2:10 (ESV)
~ Come Away ~
Week 1
The love between a groom and his bride is beautiful to see. We all love a good wedding. We celebrate the joining together of two people that have decided they do not want to live life without the other. They commit to sharing exclusive intimacy, a depth of commitment and faithfulness not meant for any other relationship here on earth.

Why is it that this is the relationship that is referred to in expressing the love of Christ for the church, His Bride? Is there a level of deep intimacy that He desires to share exclusively with us? And if this is the case, then what do we bring to the table? To a God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the One that calls each star by name, knows our innermost being, and yet longs to be with us? How can we return the love so lavishly poured out on us? Maybe the first step is simply to come. He desires for us to come to Him, spend time with Him, to come away with Him.

Come away my beloved my beautiful one. Come away and be with Me.

Prayer:
Father God, I am so grateful for the love you have poured out so abundantly toward me. It is beyond what I can fathom.
I long to set aside all distractions to come away with You.
I love you Father, help me to love you more.

Song: My Beloved ~ Kari Jobe & Christ for the Nations

I would like to challenge you this summer to sit quietly in His presence for five minutes each day. No agenda, no need to say anything, just sit before Him in silence and see what He might stir in your heart. I am challenging myself to do the same. We just might find hidden treasure in the process.
What's happening in my garden...

...The flowers appear on the earth,
the time of singing has come...
I’d love to hear from you.
