“World-class healthcare, close to home”: You’ve probably heard those words before. Not only are they St. Tammany Health System’s slogan but they’re also a promise to our Northshore neighbors.
Every day and at every level of our organization, our colleagues work hard to deliver on that promise, and last week we got a major indication that we’re accomplishing that.
On July 26, U.S. News & World Report unveiled its 2022-2023 regional hospital rankings, and St. Tammany Health System's flagship St. Tammany Parish Hospital was recognized as the No. 2 hospital in the New Orleans metro area and the fourth-best in the entire state.
And that’s not all. Thanks to the dedication of our highly trained care providers, we were also singled out for excellence in seven specialty treatment areas: COPD, heart attack, heart failure, hip fracture, kidney failure, pneumonia and stroke.
That’s a record for St. Tammany Health System, and it speaks volumes about the excellence and dedication on display throughout the organization.
In case you can’t tell, we’re excited about this latest recognition – but we’re not done yet. In fact, we’ll never stop trying to raise the bar on healthcare on the Northshore.
