Dear TESS Friends,

Today is Giving Tuesday – a global effort that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and radical generosity. You can be part of this movement! Your gift to TESS Research Foundation will change the lives of children and families affected by SLC13A5 Epilepsy. Every dollar makes a difference and all donations made today through December 31 will be matched up to $30,000!

Read on for five ways to be part of Giving Tuesday.

Yours always,

Kim Lodato Nye

P.S. Don’t forget to see if your company matches gifts, too – it’s a quick and easy way to double your donation!

COUNT ME IN!

1

Make a One-Time Donation

Unrestricted gifts are invaluable, as they fund our highest-priority research, education, and family support programs. These include developing specific SLC13A5 science tools, supporting early-career investigators, providing seed funding for new projects, and executing scientific literacy programs for our families. Donate now by credit card, check, PayPal, Google Pay or Apple Pay.

2

Make a Recurring (Monthly) Donation

Recurring donations provide ongoing streams of revenue and enable our team to plan for and pursue key activities and SLC13A5 research projects. Sign up to be a monthly donor via our Facebook page and on your second payment, Facebook will match your gift, up to $100!

3

Host a Fundraiser for TESS

Spread awareness about SLC13A5 Epilepsy and engage your communities on behalf of TESS. Setting up a Facebook fundraiser is easy to do, raises funds for SLC13A5 research, and helps us expand our reach.

4

Make a Restricted Gift

Restricted gifts are earmarked for specific purposes, such as our clinical research and scientific conferences, key SLC13A5 studies or a specific part of a research project, or offsetting our operations expenses. Donate now and designate a specific funding request in the comments field. Lindsay, our development director, will follow up to ensure your gift is designated according to your wishes.

5

Give an In-Kind Gift

We are deeply grateful to have received in-kind support from our community, including graphic design expertise, professional printing (and paper materials!) for our year-end mailings, editing and proofreading services, handmade bibs and blankets for our kids, and AV support at our annual fundraising event. Contact Lindsay if you have a skill, gift, or talent you would like to share with TESS!

Have you been considering a donation to TESS? Now is a great time to give!
