Remembering Mehera

"Mehera loves me very much. She loves me as I ought to be loved."
Meher Baba
Lord Meher Online Edition, By Bhau Kalchuri, p.4405
Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

In this week’s offering, we remember Mehera J. Irani, Meher Baba’s beloved disciple and life-long companion in His unparalleled work of awakening humanity to the presence of God within. No words can adequately describe the simplicity and depth of her devotion and dedication to Baba. Her every action was a song of purity and surrender to her Lord and friend. How fortunate we are to be able to reflect on such an approachable and very human example of love for God.

Beginning on Monday, May 23, after a two-year break, Meher Center will begin normal weekday evening programming. Please click here for the full schedule. As Covid has begun to raise its impish head once again, all scheduling will be subject to changes as we move forward.

Also, please note: when day visitors visit the Center during the afternoons or evenings, please stop at the new building by the green gate near the Gateway. A volunteer will be there to sign you in and issue you a key.

In Baba’s love and service,

Read by Adrienne Shamszad
11:07

These are readings of a collection of letters written by Mani, Meher Baba’s sister, to the Western family of Baba lovers between 1956 and 1969.
Mehera, Meher Baba's Beloved
In this timeless film, Mehera's purest love for her Beloved Meher Baba is demonstrated in the most natural way. Narrated by Meheru Irani, Baba's Mandali and Mehera's niece, this film traces Mehera's life with Baba including clips of her, Mani's explanation of the unique role that she played and music inspired by her life.

"More faith and love in Baba"
In this recording, Mehera shares stories about early life with Meher Baba as she sits on her porch with some of His lovers. She focuses first on her mother’s very early days with Meher Baba in the 1920s and the fruits of her obedience to Him. Then, with a charming giggle, she talks about some of her own experiences as a young girl with Meher Baba in Meherabad and Quetta.
