The paper is titled: Sulfite preservatives effects on the mouth microbiome: Changes in viability, diversity and composition of microbiota.

https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0265249

Racheal Kent, Frankie Yadao and Luz Maria Deardorff were all research students that were instrumental to the success of this research and publication. In addition, Sally Irwin, Dr. Peter Fisher, Michelle Gould and Junnie June (all current faculty or lecturers) were mentors and deeply involved in this process.

Last week, Luz Deardorff took current INBRE research students Nadia Takayama, Cole Whitney, Noah Zolotow, and Kyle Oshiro to the John A. COME EAT!

The Pā‘ina Food Court is now open to the public and will remain open until the end of the Spring 2022 semester on Wednesday, May 4th. As many of you know, both World Plate and Paniolo Grill offer menus of delicious dishes including at least one vegetarian selection.

Ordering must be in-person. The Pā‘ina Building is open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday. You can come in, pre-order and pre-pay and your order can be picked up later at either World Plate or Paniolo Grill, whichever outlet you ordered from. Or, you can come in at the time you’re ready to eat and order, pay and wait for your food. Wait times should be short since there are many food items to choose from and there will be two cashiers during lunch time hours. Cash and credit cards accepted.
