President's Message

Happy Holidays from Apalachee Audubon!

Happy Holidays everyone! I'm enjoying an early present of a Bird Buddy hummingbird camera/feeder, which captures video with audio, and still photos. They also have seed feeder models, but I was most interested in documenting hummingbirds this winter. Much to my delight, after 8 years of not seeing any winter hummers, a first year male Rufous Hummingbird has been visiting this feeder—only 9 days after I hung it! We’re hoping this bird will spend the winter with us. We've even had an Orange-crowned Warbler visit! I can highly recommend this product.

I should mention that Bird Buddy is now an official conservation partner of the National Audubon Society! Click the link below to read more.
