The Beautification Committee of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce has announced Arby's as the August Business of the Month. Arby’s, located at 2320 East State Street, has eye catching curb appeal due to the immaculate landscaping. Manager Theresa Mullins, who has worked at Arby's for over 30 years, has prioritized the need to have a neat, clean facade as a first impression of her business. According to Assistant Manager Cally Mason, the commitment to care and integrity has provided a desirable environment where the employees want to stay and work. Please stop in and congratulate Theresa, Cally, and the staff. Congratulations! Pictured is Assistant Manager Cally Mason and Beautification Committee Member, Beth Ehms | |
The Beautification Committee of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce awarded August Yard of the Month honors to Billie Patrick of 956 South Union Avenue. Billie has lived in Salem for 55 years. She moved into this home 3 years ago where several hostas surrounded the property. Over the years, she has added a wide array of annuals and perennials around the perimeter of her corner lot. Some of her favorite varieties include allium, roses, mums, petunias, Rose of Sharon, dianthus, lavender, asters, and calla lilies. Many of her plantings have come from friends, neighbors, and her previous home. Her hard work and perseverance reward her with a beautiful yard that we can all enjoy! Congratulations!
