The Meeting Format provides a framework to facilitate best practices as it relates to staying on topic and being respectful of our time.

1. Most of our time together will be dedicated to the agenda. We ask that you kindly keep your questions specific to the agenda topics. Comments and thoughts on other topics, unrelated to the agenda item being presented, can be posted in the chat.
2. Once the agenda is complete, should time allow, there will be time for open discussion. The open discussion portion of the meeting is fluid and organic and meant to facilitate community and relationship building and exploring ideas.

All residents of the Central Kootenays are called to form a group in their director's area to brainstorm ways of inviting everyone in their area to attend their local RDCK Climate Action Open House. All communities are called to prepare questions, concerns and mutually benefitting solutions to be voiced at their local event!

RDCK FINANCIAL REVIEW REQUEST

During the narrow Question period Corinne Mori officially brought a request for an extensive RDCK financial review before the Board. In question are spending increases which have ballooned by nearly $10 Million between 2017 and 2022 and a large increase in staff necessitated by an exploding need for new projects.

Corinne has confirmed a meeting date on August 23 at 10 AM at the Nelson RDCK office with CAO Horn, allowing public member attendance (to what number can be accommodated by the facility). Directors are encouraged to join as members of the Public. All are welcome to attend if interested in learning how our resources are being spent.
