Attendee registration has begun for the 2023 Mega-Conference in Dallas, Texas

The News Industry Mega-Conference is the premiere event in the news media industry. It will be held April 2-4 in Dallas, Texas, at the Hilton Anatole.

Registration for newspaper attendees: 
Rates are at their lowest for newspaper and media executives who commit to participating in an interactive 75-minute Solutions Roundtable session during the conference. This fast-paced session will give you the chance to learn about some of the newest solutions in the media industry from our Solutions Partners and can provide you with ideas that will more than pay for your trip! Roundtable participation is limited to newspaper and media company attendees, plus the sponsors of those roundtables. Vendors and supplier companies that do not sponsor a roundtable may not attend those sessions.

America’s Newspapers receives support from the SNPA Foundation to fund national study
The SNPA Foundation and America’s Newspapers announced today that America’s Newspapers is the recipient of a $10,000 grant from the SNPA Foundation to help fund a national newspaper audience survey.

The results of the survey will provide a detailed look at the expansive audience that a newspaper delivers, and the critical position that newspapers hold in their markets. This information will be available to anyone in the industry, with detailed marketing components from the survey supplied to members of America’s Newspapers at no charge.

NewsGuild announces walkout at Fort Worth Star-Telegram amid negotiations over initial contract
Several newsroom employees of the Fort Worth (Texas) Star-Telegram announced Monday that they are on strike, as the Fort Worth NewsGuild negotiates its first contract with the Star-Telegram and its parent company, McClatchy.

Steve Coffman, president and editor of the Star-Telegram, noted that the newsroom continues to provide coverage for readers, including the trial of Fort Worth police officer Aaron Dean, who fatally shot 28-year-old Atatiana Jefferson through the window of her home in 2019.
