ELEVATE COMMUNITY FIRST LOOK EVENT

Elevate Community_Color-small.png

We’re excited to announce that we are hosting a first look event for Elevate Community in May! Music, food, fun, and golf cart tours of the property included! We’re excited to share the vision of Elevate Community with folks at this event, and to finally invite the public to come see the property for themselves and envision with us the impact this will have on our community as a whole. Official event date and time will be announced soon!

SENSORY INCLUSIVITY WITH ELEVATE KIDS

Elevate Kids received a fun new mobile sensory device that provides a calming visual and auditory stimulation experience for children specifically with neurological differences. The device we received, thanks to a donation from Shay and Pals through Kulture City, is another fun activity our students can engage with during our after school and summer school programming, and is available for the community during our sensory room hours. We love our kiddos and are always excited about offering new ways for them to feel safe and included!

MEET OUR NEIGHBOR, ELISABETH

EBG-58.jpg

Elisabeth graduated from the Elevate Work program in March, and not only walked off stage with a certificate of completion, but with a renewed sense of self-confidence. In 2020, Elisabeth’s life was impacted by a severe injury that left her in a coma for nearly six months. Prior to the accident, Elisabeth often sang in public places among family and friends, but hadn’t sung in front of a crowd since surviving her injury less than two short years before. On March 16th, the night of graduation, Elisabeth joined her Elevate Work mentor on stage and led an auditorium full of supporters in a song of worship. For the first time in over two years, Elisabeth showcased her incredible talent to an entire audience – a reality she was never guaranteed to experience again due to the injuries she sustained. The life change Elisabeth experienced in just nine short weeks during Elevate Work, symbolized through her courage to sing on stage the night of graduation, is just one example of the impact that taking the “next right step” can have on our neighbors. We’re continuing to cheer Elisabeth on as she strides confident down the path toward reaching her full potential, each and every day.
