  • August 22: Back to School night, 4:00-6:00pm
  • August 23: First day of school, 8:45am convocation at OCCS, noon dismissal - no bus service
  • August 25: Friday care begins
  • Aug 28: First day of Covenant Kids Preschool
  • September 1: 1:30 Dismissal
  • September 4: Labor Day, No school
  • September 9: OCCS Kickoff event
Dress Code reminder:
The way we dress often reflects our feelings and attitudes. Dress is also determined by the occasion at hand. Dress should reflect our Christian witness and our Foundation Statement. Decency in dress implies that others are not embarrassed, distracted, or tempted. Please read carefully the following guidelines: Dress Code Policy
Weather related announcements:
We will be sending out weather related text messages/emails to anyone who gave us a cell phone number at registration. We will be sending any late starts, early dismissals or cancellations as soon as we know about them. They will also be posted on the school website and social media.
Convocation Serivce:
Please take lawn chairs or blankets to use during the dedication service Wednesday morning at 8:45 (located behind school). For audience singing, you will also need this file: Audience song. You may print it or bring a device to read from.
Back-to-School Night
We are eager to welcome our students for another great school year. This year's Back-to-School Night will be TONIGHT, August 22 from 4:00-6:00pm for students in Preschool-8th. Students are encouraged to bring school supplies and it is a great time to meet their teacher.
Bus Service information:
There will be NO bus service on the first day of school Wednesday, August 23. The bus will NOT run for morning pick up or afternoon drop off. Remember we dismiss at Noon on Wednesday. Bus routes will start Thursday, Aug 24. There will be no Sioux Center end of day route; all other routes run at 3:30 PM. Please contact Terry Schouten at Unity with questions.
