UPCOMING LA-23 CLOSURES

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces an upcoming closures of LA-23 surrounding the Belle Chasse Bridge in the coming days. Please see below for details on each occurrence.

Tuesday, August 8: There will be a left lane closure on LA-23 between Engineers Rd and the Belle Chasse Tunnel on Tuesday, 8/9/23 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. This is necessary to facilitate the delivery and setting of girders south of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.

Wednesday, August 9: left lane closure northbound on the Belle Chasse Bridge on Wednesday, 8/10/23 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. This is also needed to facilitate the delivery and setting of girders south of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.

Thursday, August 10: right lane closure on northbound LA-23 from the bridge approach to the north side of the bridge span occurring Thursday, 8/10/23 from 8:30AM - 2:00PM. This closure is necessary to complete maintenance repairs on the bridge. 

Friday, August 11: left lane closure northbound on the Belle Chasse Bridge on Friday, 8/11/23 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. This is also needed to facilitate the delivery and setting of girders south of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.

Monday, August 14: left lane closure northbound on the Belle Chasse Bridge on Monday, 8/14/23 from 9:00AM - 3:00PM. This is also needed to facilitate the delivery and setting of girders south of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
