proposition 123 updates and technical assistance | The development of Proposition 123 programs continues, and the Land Banking program administered by CHFA is now accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) through August 21st. Next steps and application information will be sent in September to those who have submitted an LOI, and local government opt-in is not required to submit an LOI. However, opt-in will ultimately be required to submit an application and to be eligible for funding. More details about Land Banking as well as forthcoming programs are available on the Affordable Housing Financing Fund website. |
The Colorado Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) manages a list of communities who have completed their Proposition 123 commitment filing. That list is available on the Engage DOLA website. DOLA is providing free technical assistance for local governments to help them understand Proposition 123, establish their baseline number of affordable housing units, and file their commitments.
A series of technical assistance webinars will be held throughout the month of August, and details are linked below. Each session will be recorded and posted on the DOLA website, and attending a webinar will be a prerequisite to receiving tailored technical assistance if it is needed.
