Almighty God, you have given your only Son to be for us a sacrifice for sin, and also an example of godly life: Give us grace to receive thankfully the fruits of his redeeming work, and to follow daily in the blessed steps of his most holy life; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. As you may know, recently we had to meet in the Activities Building for church due to the HVAC not functioning properly. We are monitoring the condition of the HVAC system and hope to worship in the church this Sunday, but we will move back to the Activities Building if it is too warm. The system is very old and we are assessing the steps necessary to repair and/or replace. Thank you for understanding.
Southern Comforters to Meet Sunday at Noon in the Activities Bldg. All are welcome to fellowship with those who knit and crochet to make blankets for children in difficult circumstances, and prayer shawls for our parishioners and friends. This ministry meets on the third Sunday of each month after services in the activities building.
Reach Serving Dinner at Shady Grove this Wednesday 8/23 at 5pm All are invited to join the ECA Reach ministry in preparing and delivering a meal to the homeless population every 4th Wednesday of the month at Shady Grove Baptist Church. Contact Cindy Lippert to learn more or to volunteer.
Dominoes Game Night Friday 8/25 at 7pm
Join us for adult fellowship time playing Mexican Train Dominoes! Bring a simple snack to share and your favorite beverage. Dominoes typically meet the fourth Friday of each month. Newcomers are always welcome!

Spotlight on Ministry: Children and Youth Ministries
August's spotlight is on ECA Children & Youth Ministries. Children's Sunday School meets once a month on the first Sunday of each month (breaking for Summer). They also schedule fellowship events throughout the year. We are currently searching for a Youth Pastor to join us. Contact Molly Norman to learn more or volunteer to help with this ministry!
Father Paul on Sabbatical & Welcome Back Picnic
Fr. Paul will be away during the months of June, July, and August on a well-deserved sabbatical for rest and refreshment. He will return with us on Sunday September 10th. The Rev.
