Leading healthcare providers in Johnson County met on Tuesday, February 6th for the online State of Healthcare Workshop to inform the community on the financial, social, technological, and economic conditions of hospitals, medical professionals and patients.

A study utilized Google Street View images to analyze the impact of neighborhood infrastructure on physical and mental health. Researchers found that neighborhoods with pedestrian-friendly elements like sidewalks and crosswalks were associated with greater public health overall.

Survey to Identify Needs of Early Care and Education in Johnson County


The Johnson County Community Foundation is working to identify the needs of early care and education in Johnson County.  Feedback provided will be used in grant applications and to continue supporting early care and education in our community. The data from this survey will only be shared at a summarized level. The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete. Please complete by February 21, 2024. To further help JCCF’s efforts, the survey can be sent to other business leaders and parents in our community.

Aspire Women Leaders Workshop Award Nominations Close February 23

 

Aspire's annual Women Leaders Conference will be held on March 8 at Valle Vista Golf and Conference Center. Angie Nuttle, Founder of the VIP Center for Business Women, will deliver the keynote speech.  

 

Nominations for the annual Women Leaders awards are open. The  Champion of Women Award  recognizes an organization that prioritized women in leadership and provided women with opportunities for growth, both inside and outside their workforces. The Woman Leader of the Year Award  recognizes a woman who has made a significant contribution to her company or organization as an influencer, leader, and ally. Finalists in both categories will be announced prior to the event and the winners revealed at the Woman Leaders Workshop.
