July 3, 2022

With less than two weeks to go, excitement is mounting for THEATRE ON THE EDGE. Over the three day weekend, you can enjoy a diverse collection of high quality original works of performance art, meet the performers, listen to live music with friends and enjoy local beverages. A whole weekend filled with fun!

The festival wouldn't be possible without our volunteers. We are still looking for volunteers in some areas. Please consider stepping forward. Fill out the Volunteer Form online. It's a great experience being part of the festival team.

Thank you to everyone who offered to billet one of the performers.

Tickets available early this week.

The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble is going to Mainstage as the Workshop Play. The first performance is 2:00 pm Monday, July 11 at Powerhouse Theatre. Professional director Kathryn Shaw will work with the cast for the next two days before the play is presented again Wednesday, July 13 at 2:00 pm. Audiences welcome at both performances. Tickets $10 at the door.

To help with the cost of travelling to Mainstage, there will be an encore performance of The Gravitational Pull of Bernice Trimble at Shuswap Theatre on Friday, July 8 at 7:30 pm. Admission is by donation (we suggest $20). Please come and support the cast and crew.

Marking its 90th anniversary, Theatre BC's provincial festival, Mainstage 2022, is happening at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre, July 11-16. What a wonderful opportunity for theatre lovers of the Shuswap to see the five winning Zone Festival plays from around the province! Check them out on the Mainstage website. There you will also find everything you need to know about some special workshops offered during the week. The festival is always a great learning opportunity and the week promises to be an amazing experience!
