Message from the Principal
Dear St. Rose Parents,

It’s hard to believe that the year is quickly closing. Yet, we still have exciting events to look forward to before we begin our summer vacation—one of those being the Walkathon on May 16. It is heartening to see the commitment of those participating in our first Walkathon in two years in different capacities, i.e., donations, volunteers, and emotional support for the students. I know it will be loads of fun, and I look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. On that note, I realize that many families have not been inside the campus this year; therefore, after the Walkathon from 1-3 p.m., the classrooms will be open for you to come and see all the wonderful and exciting activities the students have been doing. It will just be an informal walkthrough. The teachers will not be giving any kind of presentation or conference. Please visit and check out the hallways, classrooms, and the lab. All of us look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

God’s Peace,
Kathleen Aymar

FUNDRAISING
1st Day School Supplies
St. Rose has worked with 1stDay School Supplies for a few years now. The easiest way to get your child's required Back-to-School Supplies for the new school year. And the school makes a very nominal profit.

Take the hassle out of the equation, and order your child's box today. 22-23 Class lists have already been sent to 1st Day School Supplies. Boxes are delivered directly to the school in August, ready for your child's first day of school. All you have to do is place an order!
ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY MAY 31st.
2022-23 STUDENT SUPPLY LISTS
All students must either purchase a 1st Day School Supply kit, which will include all required supplies OR purchase supplies on your own to bring on the FIRST day of School. See above for details.
ST. ROSE WALK-A-THON Monday, May 16th
All St. Rose Parents should have already received an email from 99pledges with your child's Walk-a-Thon pledge account information. Please use the link that was sent to you to donate, and send the link to family and friends. The Walk-a-Thon is one of St. Rose School's biggest fundraisers, but as we all know, COVID put a halt to our fundraising efforts the past 2 years. Though your child's pledge page will say their goal is to raise $100, that is not a mandatory amount. Anything you, your family and friends can donate is greatly appreciated.

If you have questions about your 99pledge account, please contact parent: Richie Smith at: epicplumbing707@gmail.com

Thank you for supporting St. Rose School.

ALL STUDENTS WILL DISMISS AT 12PM AFTER THE WALK-A-THON
Please do not come in to take kids out earlier if at all possible.
If everyone could please just wait until 12pm, it will cause less disruption for the teachers who are wrapping up the day with their students.
Both the Y and Kinder-Care will be open after school
INFORMAL 'OPEN HOUSE' - MONDAY, MAY 16th - 1-3PM.

PARENTS, After you and the kids have lunch after the walk-a-thon on Monday, May 16th, we invite you to drop-in for an informal walk thru of campus classrooms. Since we were unable to host a traditional Open House this year, some parents have not seen our classrooms.

Families are invited to stop by and see the art work on our walls, the classrooms and Science lab on between 1:00 - 3:00 PM. There are no teacher presentations and this is not the time to consult regarding student issues. Students must remain with their parents at all times. The playground will be closed.
St. Rose PA Car Magnet
THANK YOU for all the Car Magnet orders! As we receive orders we fill them quickly and send home with your students.

REMINDERS / CLICKS and LINKS
Colds, Flu, Allergies and COVID
SCHOOL ILLNESS POLICY
Students should never be sent to school if they are not feeling well, or if they have symptoms of illness.

Allergy medication should be given prior to coming to school to have the best impact on your child. The school will not dispense allergy medication to students.
PLEASE REFER TO THE PARENT / STUDENT HANDBOOK for school policy regarding Student Illnesses. (pg. 8-10) See Handbook link at the bottom of this newsletter.
Students who have symptoms of a cold must provide the school with a negative COVID test before they can return.
VOLUNTEER VACCINATION STATUS
The CDPH issued a 'HEALTH ORDER' on 8/11/21, which requires all K-12 schools, public and private, to verify vaccination status of all workers. This health order is still in effect. Sonoma County also has a Health Order, C-19-38, issued on 3/14/22 which requires all K-12 public and private schools in Sonoma County to continue to comply with CDPH's Order for Vaccine Verification for workers, as well as any applicable Cal/OSH COVID-19 Emergency Standards.

The Health Order defines "worker" as all paid and unpaid adults serving in school settings, Workers include, but are not limited to, certified and classified staff, analogous staff working in private school settings, and volunteers who are on-site at a school campus supporting functions.

Workers who are not fully vaccinated, or for whom vaccine status is unknown or documentation is not provided, must be considered unvaccinated. Unvaccinated workers, in this case referring to volunteers, must provide a negative COVID test up to 24 hours prior to volunteering on our campus.

Parents who are fully vaccinated, if you have not already provided us with your vaccine documentation, please do so as soon as possible if you wish to volunteer. It will save us a step later in the process if we have the info on file. Those volunteers who decline to provide documentation or who have not received the full series of vaccination, will need to provide a negative COVID test result the day of any volunteer activity (up to 24 hours in advance).
VOLUNTEER COMPLIANCE
Previously complaint volunteers who have not updated the 2020 Safe Environment course, please contact Ms. KC asap for your CMG account login information so you can complete the required course. k_paul@sonic.net

If you need to get compliant, please call Ms. KC in the school office or email her at: k_paul@sonic.net
