MCDP SUMMER CONVENTION

SATURDAY, JUNE 25 / 8AM – 3PM

The Maricopa Dems Team is so excited to welcome you back for our FIRST in-person County Convention since 2019! This year's Convention will take place at Central High School in Downtown Phoenix. Use the button below to reserve your seat!

MORE INFO AND REGISTRATION

Who Said It & Where?

  • I do not want to be a winner by cheating!!
  • Show me the evidence!!
  • I will not hold such a hearing at the House & I will NOT be used as a pawn!!
  • Lots of theories but no evidence!!

REPUBLICAN AZ Speaker of the House, Rep. Rusty Bowers at the June 21, 2022 Jan. 6 Committee Hearing.

As you all know, Bowers refused to cave to Trump & Guliani so all AZ voters can be proud of that!! Next time you knock on a door or make a phone call and someone begins to talk about how the 2020 election was stolen, try to remember some of the above... spoken by a long time & very conservative R who said he voted for Trump but his allegiance was to the constitution and laws!

MARICOPA COUNTY REDISTRICTING

Maricopa County BoS Holds a SINGLE Public Hearing on Redistricting. Although the BofS did adopt the same basic criteria used by the AZ Independent Redistricting Committee (IRC), they did NOT start mapping on a blank slate but used existing districts. They also provided very little advance notice of their work. Although the next redistricting is years away, here's another reason to elect DEMOCRATIC Supervisors....so the redistricting process -- for one of the most populous counties in the US - is a truly fair and open one. BTW, it was announced at the meeting that the BoS received only 64 written public comments. Based on feedback to Chair Janet, at least 20 of them came from LD 2 Dems!!

THANK YOU LD2!

From our Dems Give Back Vice Chair, Chris Gehlker: Due to the generosity of LD 2 PCs and guests we collected 26 pounds of food for the hungry. When I dropped it off the next day a lady at the food bank noticed that the sign on the collection bin says “Please Give Food for People or Animals” and was very enthusiastic that we are collecting for animals. She said that they never get enough donated food for the them.

We will continue to provide food and pet food donations at all of our LD2 meetings. If you are unable to attend the next LD meeting but want to donate, please contact Chris Gehlker to arrange a pickup.
