WELCOME PRESIDENT
BLESKACEK
Mike Bleskacek was elected Interim President by the GVSS Board of Directors April 21, 2022.
Mike grew up in Bloomer, Wisconsin and moved to Grimes 24 years ago.
Mike and his wife Eileen have two children and six grandchildren.
Mike spent most of his work career in retail.
Mike indicated that when he first moved to Grimes it was a small community. Over the years the city has grown considerably, and we have seen many exciting changed.
Mike has been a driver for GVSSS for 10 years. He has been a board member for the past 3 years.
When ask why he volunteers for GVSS his response—I like the people contact. All the clients we serve are special people. I tell some of the clients, I am paying it forward by volunteering for GVSS.
When ask if he would recommend others to volunteer for GVSS—I would highly recommend GVSS to anyone that likes people and want a good experience to sign up. We have many areas to volunteer, and you are basically your own boss.
