TODAH RABBAH TO EVERYONE THAT SUPPORTED THE RENEWAL OF THE KOL AMI TORAH SCROLLS | |
We had hundreds of people come and see Rabbi Druin in action last week. He was able to fully kasher six scrolls, and kashered two others b'di eved (meaning they're not perfect yet but good enough for use), so now eight of our 10 scrolls are kosher to use!
Through the generosity of supporters we received nearly $12,000 in donations towards the repairs of the Torahs and now funds we had planned to use for the Torah repairs can now be used towards other capital projects.
Although the event is over, additional donations, at any level, will continue to be accepted to support the restoration of the Torah scrolls.

CLOTHING DONATIONS NEEDED FOR THE SANDACK FAMILY
As many of you know, we had a horrible tragedy this past weekend, as Art and Deneb Sandack were in a horrible car accident, in which Deneb lost her life and Art was badly injured and is hospitalized, but will survive.
Their daughter Maggie had most of her toddler son’s clothes in Art and Deneb’s car, which she can no longer access. He currently wears size 3T and 4T clothes. We have bins in the South and West Foyers of the synagogue this week to collect clothes for him.
