Girls Basketball is Headed to the Playoffs!

Spring Dance
Saturday, February 24th at 7:30 pm is the Spring Fling dance at BHS sponsored by the Bellaire Student Council and the PTO. Tickets are pre-sale only at the campus starting February 20th for $15.00.
Students must have their Bellaire HS ID and may only purchase one ticket.
To enter the dance the student must have their school ID.

After School Tutorials
Tutorials are available to any student. Students retesting in English I or II, Algebra 1, Biology, or US History tutorials are required to attend.

Cell Phones and Earphones
District policy is that cell phone use is not allowed when a student is at school, from the time they enter the school doors until they leave with the exception of during lunch (high schools only). Cell phones should not be visible unless they are in a mesh or see-through backpack. Phones should be kept in the backpack or relinquished to the school per school procedures at the beginning of class or once a student enters the school. The same goes for headphones and/or earbuds.

Seniors if you have paid your Senior Dues pick your Senior T-Shirt up during Cardinal Hour or as you leave for the day at 6th or 7th period. Shirts can be picked up outside of the auditorium. #ClassOf2024

Bellaire Lacrosse Starts Season Off Strong!
Bellaire Men’s Lacrosse Varsity and JV teams won their season opener games last week. Last Thursday night, our JV team beat St. Thomas High School 5-4. And on Saturday, our Varsity team won 8-4 over Westside High School. Way to kickoff the Bellaire Men’s Lacrosse season!

The start of a new semester brings fresh starts! If you have not connected with a club or organization, now is the perfect time to jump in and join. Look through the dates of club meetings and attend a meeting this week. Taking the first step to show up will lead to new friends, connections, and opportunities. If you have a question about a club or joining one, please swing by and talk to Ms. Chapman in room 2712.

FAFSA Workshop Rescheduled
Due to the Federal Student Aid conducting the soft launch period during the month of January, the FAFSA workshop for January 17th has been postponed to February 29th. We will still have a workshop on February 15th from 5:30-7:30. For more information contact Jasmine Davis via email at jasmine.davis@houstonisd.org .

If your student does not have a SSN, no worries! They will complete a TASFA online application in February 2024 to be eligible for aid to Texas college

Go Texan Day!
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is right around the corner. We will celebrate and recognize their support and contributions to public education with our second annual Go Texan Day at Bellaire High School on Friday, February 23rd which will feature some special events during Cardinal Hour. Also, it will be Western wear dress up day, and HISD Nutrition Services will be serving up a BBQ which will include a choice of BBQ Wings or Chop Beef Brisket Sandwich for the entrée at lunch.
