CONGRATULATIONS TO THE
ROSLYN HIGH SCHOOL CLASS OF 2022!
Roslyn High School held the commencement ceremony for the senior class on Friday, June 24, 2022, at the Tilles Center. Two-hundred and seventy-four students dressed in Roslyn blue entered the room to Pomp and Circumstance and cheering family members. Congratulation to all our graduates!
ROSLYN MIDDLE SCHOOL GRADUATION
5TH GRADE MOVING UP CEREMONIES
East Hills Elementary School and Harbor Hill Elementary School hosted their fifth grade moving up ceremonies on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Both ceremonies, packed with parents and family members, were held in the Roslyn High School auditorium. 
SENIOR WALK
Roslyn High School seniors, dressed in their blue caps and gowns, returned to their elementary schools for the District's much anticipated Senior Walk. The nostalgic procession took place at all three elementary schools, beginning at Heights, where all the seniors walked the halls before splitting up to parade through East Hills or Harbor Hill Elementary Schools. As they walked the halls, they were cheered by elementary students who waved pom-pom’s, held up signs, and put their hands out for a high-five.
HEIGHTS
On the last day of school the faculty and staff at Heights gathered on the playground for a group photo. They wish everyone a wonderful summer!
EAST HILLS & HARBOR HILL
During the month of June, teams of fifth grade students at East Hills and Harbor Hill Elementary Schools participated in a “Shark Tank” like project, presenting fun and creative entrepreneurial ideas to audiences filled with parents. The presentations were the culmination of a five-month program, taught by Library Media Specialists, and derived from FreshINCedu—a curriculum that introduces and empowers young students to what it means to be an entrepreneur. The program includes curricular materials and support for teachers to guide students through the process of creating and launching a business.Text Link
East Hills and Harbor Hill both held a NYSSMA breakfast to celebrate the students who attended the NYSSMA festival in March and April. Each student received a certificate and a NYSSMA medal.
ROCK GARDEN CEREMONY AT EAST HILLS
East Hills Elementary School held two unveiling ceremonies of their colorful rock gardens in front of the building on Friday, June 17, 2022. The gardens were created in memory of Melanie Chaite, a former Roslyn graduate who passed away in 2020. 
ROSLYN MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Roslyn Middle School String Ensemble received a Gold with Distinction rating at NYSSMA Majors. The competition was held at Adelphi University on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
ROSLYN HIGH SCHOOL
A team of girls from the Habitat for Humanity Club at Roslyn High School helped with the demolition and clean-up of an existing home in Huntington Station on June 2, 2022. The property will be rebuilt in the coming months to serve as the first home of a family selected by Habitat for Humanity.
TENURE CEREMONY
Roslyn School District honored twenty teachers and administrators who were granted tenure this year during an intimate evening ceremony at Roslyn High School on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Congratulations to all!
2022 RETIREES
A group of seventeen retiring faculty and staff were honored at the June 23, 2022 Board of Education meeting for their years of service to the Roslyn School District. Each was given commemorative plaques and congratulatory speeches by fellow staff and educators.

Goodbye and best wishes to our 2022 Retirees: Jores Saint-Louis, Andrew Careri, Deborah Rizzo, Theresa Adamo, Gregory Tsistinas, Christine Varasano, Ellen Trichon, Helene Blatt, Catherine Lenoci, Mary Ellen Lyons, Jacqueline Stone Martin, Barbara Russell, Douglas Graham, Francis Cifali, Damiana Zapata, Ellen Seidel, and Joshua Cabat. 
ROSLYN ATHLETICS
A free kids' tennis clinic was held on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at the Roslyn High School tennis courts. More than 80 elementary and middle school students attended the event.
Roslyn High School hosted Tennis with the Teachers on Monday, June 13, 2022. Over 40 students, teachers, and parents came together to play the doubles tournament. The event was held to raise money for rare cancer research. 
Superintendent Allison Brown was among several honorees recognized at the Korean American Parents Association of Greater New York (KAPA GNY) 29th Annual Teacher's Day Celebration—held May 25th, 2022 in Great Neck. Link
FIRST AID TRAINING FOR ADMINISTRATORS
During the last week of June, the administrative staff of Roslyn School District participated in a refresher training course on CPR/AED/First Aid and Stop the Bleed.
