Recycling Survey Underway
The Calvert County Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division, invites you to participate in its annual business recycling survey. Your participation in the 2021 Annual Business Recycling Reporting Survey will provide significant information for calculating Calvert County’s annual recycling rate.

As part of the Maryland Recycling Act, Calvert County is required by the Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) to recycle at least 20% of its generated waste. The annual recycling rate is measured by compiling the completed Annual Recycling Reporting surveys submitted by Calvert County businesses, waste haulers and recycling processors. With everyone’s participation, the Solid Waste Division can provide MDE with accurate recycling data that can be used to determine the county’s recycling rate, an indicator of the recycling efforts in Calvert County. Annual reports are due in March each year; however, we are continuing to accept surveys for calendar year 2021 through the end of May. The survey information you provide is only viewed by Calvert County Government’s recycling staff. If you have any questions or need assistance completing the survey, please contact the recycling staff at 410-326-0210. For more information and to access the 2021 recycling reporting forms, please visit our website.
