Dear Elementary School Parents,

Professionalism, high standards, and effective communication are the bedrock of our school community. As part of our commitment to these values, we want to share some important reminders about Front Office communication, early pickups, late drop-offs, and late pickups. Every minute in the classroom is essential for your child’s academic and social development, and we deeply value each moment of their learning experience.

Front Office Communication

For any Front Office needs, please contact us at (954) 290-8424 via call, text, or WhatsApp. This dedicated number ensures that our team can manage school-related matters effectively through our internal communication system.

Please do not contact Mrs. Leah Albert on her personal phone, as all school communications must go through the official Front Office number. If the line is busy, feel free to leave a text or WhatsApp message; our Office Staff will get back to you promptly.

Early Pickup/Late Drop-off Policy

As part of our commitment to preserving learning time, early pickups and late drop-offs should be limited to the following situations:

  • Illness or severe illness of an immediate family member
  • Scheduled doctor or dentist appointments
  • Required court appearances
  • Student with or suspected of having a communicable disease
  • Pre-approved special events (e.g., public functions, educational enrichment activities)
  • Death in the family

While occasional, rare, unexpected traffic incidents may be excused at the discretion of the attendance office, early dismissals or late arrivals for the following reasons are not acceptable:

  • Avoiding the carpool line
  • Traffic concerns
  • Parent work responsibilities or convenience
  • Picking up a child from another TJA campus

To request an excused absence/tardy or an early pickup, please fill out our Attendance Request Form on the TJA website:

Attendance Request Form

Except in emergency situations, requests should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Once submitted, you will receive confirmation. Upon arrival, you may call/text the school number or notify the security officer at the Carpool Loop of your arrival; please do not call/text Mrs. Leah Albert’s personal number. Upon arrival to the school, expect a 5 to 8 minute wait for your child to arrive in your car. Plan accordingly.

The Jewish Academy is proud of our culture of learning, where every moment in the classroom is a valuable opportunity for growth. Frequent early pickups or late arrivals disrupt school environment and do not align with our commitment to high academic standards. Carpool hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:20 AM, with a 5-minute grace period. Any student arriving after 8:25 AM will be marked tardy. After three unexcused tardies in a term, the student will not be allowed to enter school until the end of the first academic block at 12:00 PM. Additional tardies after four may result in an administration conference.

Late Pickup Policy

To uphold a structured environment and honor the time of our staff, please adhere to the dismissal procedures:

  • Dismissal Time: The final dismissal time for carpool is 4:15 pm.
  • Late Pickup Charge: A fee of $1 per minute will be applied for pickups after 4:15 pm. This charge covers additional staffing costs and reinforces our expectation that students be picked up on time.
  • Payment: Late pickup charges will be added to your child’s account, and parents will be billed bi-weekly.

We understand that emergencies can arise, and we are prepared to address these on a case-by-case basis. If you anticipate a delay, please inform the Front Office at your earliest convenience.

We greatly appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a respectful and timely schedule, enabling our students to thrive in a focused learning environment.

Warm regards,

Jewish Academy Administration
