New Giving and Directory resources (and more)!

Hello, HBIC Family!

It's a new year and a new opportunity to celebrate the ways God is working in and through our community here around Derry Street (and far beyond)! We have been so blessed as a growing church body, both in number and in faith. In order to keep our records and processes as efficient as possible, we're launching some new applications from Planning Center. This is an organization with many resources for churches like ours and we currently benefit from their Services app for worship planning and scheduling! Utilizing more of these programs will help both you and church leaders keep track of your church business and activity in one place!

We want to give you a little introduction of a few of the programs and a preview for what else is to come. No need to feel overwhelmed! The church staff and key volunteers will be available to you for help throughout the transition. If you have questions about anything explained here, please feel free to reach out via email or by calling the Church Office!

GIVING

The first change to note is our new giving platform! We've already let recurring donors know about this change, but if you're giving regularly and missed the email from Pastor Lynda, you can check out the instructions for transferring your donation to the new platform here. It's super vital that you cancel your existing donation and re-create it in Giving by the end of January!

Members of the Finance Committee will be in the Open Area on January 21 and 28 to help set up online giving for our church family members as needed.

New giver? Visit our website. All of the links for the current platform are live and ready for your donation! You can also give in the offering box in the lobby or mail a check to the church.

PEOPLE (DIRECTORY)

With our new directory program, you're in the driver's seat! Keep an eye out for an email coming soon like the one pictured to the left. This will have a link to join the directory and choose what information (if any) you will allow to be displayed.

When you click the link to join and follow the login instructions (if you haven't already completed this process for Giving), you may notice that your personal information is already uploaded. This is intentional and quite safe! If you shared your information with us in the past, we simply moved it to this new program.

Please bear with us as we all adjust! If you create a login and notice something is off about your profile, feel free to edit it or contact the church staff for help setting it right.

CHURCH CENTER

Church Center is a website and app that pulls all of the above information into one place. Here, you can login and do things like:

Edit your contact information
View the online directory
Give or view giving history
View church activity...In the coming year, we'll be introducing other programs like a Check-Ins app for Children's Ministry and a Groups app for Discipleship Ministry. Church Center allows you to see your engagement with all of these apps!

Visit hbic.churchcenter.com or download the Church Center app and login to take a peek! Creating a login is simple - enter your phone number or email address and follow the prompts!
