Calling all Artists

🎨 Calling all young artists (ages 5-18)! Ella Johnson will be hosting our 1st annual Art Show. There are two ways to participate:  #1 Drop-in Painting Events: Tue, Aug 2, 3-5pm & Tue, Aug 9, 4-6pm (no registration required) or #2 Ella Johnson Art Show Take Home Kit: Registration Begins: Mon, July 18 Pick Up Kit: Tue, Aug 3 Dry Artwork Drop-off Due By: Fri, Aug 19 Opening Day: Fri, Aug 26 Voting Available: Aug 26-Sept 2

The Lincoln Memorial in Pop Culture

Ranger Mike Litterst takes a look at some of the best-known examples of the Lincoln Memorial’s utilization across the mediums of film, television, comics and more. He will also examine how these uses have helped shape the cultural meaning of the Lincoln Memorial over the past 100 years.  Register HERE

Space Play

Bring the whole family and stop in for some Family Play Time. There will be multiple stations set up with crafts, games and other fun activities. More Info HERE

Namaste

Come exercise your body as well as your mind! Chair yoga is a beneficial form of yoga for any fitness level, from active seniors to those recovering from an injury. Register HERE

Meet Maribel

Come celebrate the End of Summer Reading with an outdoor showing of Disney's new movie Encanto. Maribel will be joining us from 7:00 - 8:00 for photos and Meet and Greet. FOOD. Construction Update

Our downtown streetscape is getting a makeover! The sidewalk surrounding the library has been completed. State Street traffic continues to be detoured to Park Street. Public parking lots and sidewalks are accessible. More Info HERE
