Who Will You Honor?
In 1984, our Founder Scott Hamilton’s life changed forever as he became an Olympic Champion – his life would later change again when he faced and survived cancer. To honor Scott’s birthday on August 28th, CARES is proud to launch the 1984 CARES Champion Monthly Giving Program.  Your monthly gift of $19.84 will make a lasting difference for those facing cancer by funding research, inspiring hope, and fostering survivorship.

Going, Going, Gone!
Car Collector and Entrepreneur George Shinn auctioned off a classic car from his private collection to benefit CARES at the GAA Classic Cars Auction, the largest independently owned dealer-exclusive auto auction in the country. CARES Founder Scott Hamilton accompanied Shinn to the auction in North Carolina recently where he shared our mission and our impact with the invite-only crowd. Between the generous attendees and the auction of the car, the day raised a remarkable $126,000 for CARES
cancer research. Thank you to our friend George Shinn and GAA Classic Cars Auction for an unforgettable experience for car enthusiasts that made a difference by supporting cancer research and CARES.  For more about the event click here.
