Dear River Forest residents,
I am excited to announce that the Village was recently awarded a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. This award was presented for our annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended April 30, 2021. This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental and financial reporting. Attaining this award represents a significant accomplishment by the Village and its management team. I want to thank Finance Director Rosey McAdams and her team for their great work and effort toward this achievement!
I am grateful to all of those who have volunteered their time on Village boards and commissions. Our volunteers put so much effort into helping to set proactive and promising goals for our community, and ensuring those goals are met. I encourage all residents who are looking to get more involved with the Village to apply to be on one of our boards or commissions. You can apply here.
Finally, Oak Park and River Forest townships are seeking donations for school supplies for underserved children who live in both Townships. Back to school donations are needed for children in kindergarten through seniors in high school, and the drive runs now through Friday, August 5. You can order school supplies directly through an Amazon wish list, which can be found by clicking here. Please donate to this worthwhile cause!
Sincerely,
|
