Join Rabbi Magat for a new Torah segment called " A Bissel of Torah". This is an opportunity for a 2 minute Torah Study with Rabbi as we look at the Parasha of the week, and see how we can apply it to our life and learn any teachings. | |

Great Questions Discussion Group |
Tuesday // May 16th, 10:00am // In Person
The topic for discussion for the Great Questions Group will be Orthodox Christianity. We will explore the major theological tenets and cultural dynamics of that religion. The focus will be comparison of Orthodox Christianity to other Christian denominations and to Judaism. We will look at trends, both in the United States and worldwide, especially in Eastern Europe.

20/20 Vision Project

2020 Vision is Temple Emanu-El’s MASSIVE renovation project and we have made a HUGE amount of progress in the last several months. It is just FABULOUS- like night and day compared to our old look.
Maybe you’re not familiar with 2020 Vision, or maybe you are ? Come by for a sneak peak on Sunday May 21, 9am to 10:30 am at Temple and we’ll show you around. There will be a gourmet coffee cart for your favorite morning beverages and noshes as well.

Save the date for Tikkun Leil Shavuot. On the night of the festival of Shavuot (the first night of Shavuot in the diaspora), it is traditional for Jews to stay up and learn Torah – a centuries-old custom known as Tikkun Leil Shavuot. We invite you to spend this evening with us as we hold a Torah study and discuss different passages, and how they apply to our daily lives.

Shavuot (falling this year on May 25th & 26th) is the festival of the first fruits of the spring harvest, and a time for us to recommit to our faith as we celebrate the receiving of the Ten Commandments at Sinai. Holocaust/Tolerance Education Exhibit at Temple Emanu-El - Free Museum |
NOW OPEN INDEFINITELY!
We are excited to announce that the CHAIM exhibit now a temporary home at Temple Emanu-El.
The purpose of CHAIM is to teach about tolerance and empathy through the lens of the Holocaust. The CHAIM exhibit is appropriate for Jewish kids 5th grade and up, and non-Jews kids 7th and up. This is an important topic for our times.
