Keeping the Village Neat, Clean & Pretty

We love it when we have the opportunity to recognize and sincerely thank our donors and volunteers. June is the month of love, and we love all of you who give back to Magnolia and the Reimagine Magnolia Village project through sharing time, treasure, and talent.

In late April, several work-ready volunteers met early on a Saturday morning in Magnolia Village and used their Spring-cleaning mojo to benefit the community. The work crew enjoyed neighborly camaraderie to wash the jaunty red umbrellas, the tables and chairs, and the benches. Kudos to Mike DuCharme, Joan Enticknap, Don Gillmore, Ann Goos, Taylor & Sam Schmidt, Elizabeth & Glenn Scott, and Bill & Paula Whitham. You make a difference!

Many thanks to Magnolia Garden Center, especially Chuck Flaherty and Ben Edlun, for hanging the 43 flower baskets we all enjoy and that make the business district look lovely Summer through Fall. In acknowledgment of a rather gray Spring, we share an extra dose of deep appreciation, given that Chuck and Ben hung the flower baskets in the pouring rain!

Another thank you to the donors who invested in our "It's Not Inexpensive to be Beautiful" campaign. Your financial support for the flower baskets and maintenance is evident as we watch the flowers blossom and bloom!

Volunteer Opportunity on the morning of June 12th - please join us!

Are you looking to keep our Magnolia Village streetscape improvements looking their best? Join us on the morning of Sunday, June 12, by volunteering to place safety sliders on the legs of the chairs!

We make it easy and fun and provide all the instructions and tools. You make a difference and keep our chairs safe and protected.

And it will take only about an hour with enough of us working together.

Update on Phases IV & V Progress

We are still waiting patiently for the final permit from the city of Seattle to begin Phases IV & V. Leaders of the Reimagine Magnolia Village project are meeting with city officials the week of June 6th to encourage review and approval of the final stages of the project. Given the city’s strong support of Phases I, II, and III, we are confident we will gain approval soon, and fundraising and work will get underway. Please donate to support the final phases of Magnolia Village beautification by clicking here.
