1950 is here!

Are you getting the most?

Using the 1950 Census with Michael John Neill

different from our "Prepping for 1950" presentation

This hour-long session (and possibly slightly longer) will talk about using the recently released 1950 US Census. Coverage will including using the NARA site (index and images); Ancestry.com’s 1950 Census District Finder (and their image interface); and MyHeritage's 1950 census site.

We will look at urban and rural searches and discuss using the enumerator comments that can provide additional information about the individual enumerated and their actual residence (particularly in rural areas).

We will also look at ways to use the enumeration to further your research with a short list of suggestions.

Now that it is here, get ideas on: Searching, Troubleshooting, Interpreting, and Using the 1950 Census

Webinar will be held live on 15 April 3:00 central daylight time--handout included

What we are not covering in this presentation on using the 1950 census:

The ED maps at NARA and techniques on Stephen Morse’s site were discussed in our prepping for 1950 webinar and will not be discussed in this presentation on 15 April (Order that presentation "Prepping for 1950" for immediate download.)

"Using the 1950 Census" is a completely different presentation from our earlier presentation and will not include items covered in the "Prepping for 1950" webinar.
