Hello dear ones! First things first: High school youth group meets this week at BLC. See you at 7 PM on Wednesday, May 3.
Next week's youth group, May 16, will be led by our all-star youth volunteer Grace Casciano! A recent college graduate, Grace is a long-time member of St. Andrew's, and has been helping out with supporting and facilitating youth group for the last several weeks. We have all loved having her around, and I'm grateful for her presence and leadership!
More upcoming dates:
Sunday, May 21, 10 AM will be our last youth Bible study together. Meet in the friendship room at St. Andrew's, and we'll join the rest of the church at communion around 10:30.
Wednesday, May 24, will be my last official youth group with you all. We are working on summer arrangements to support Wednesday night gatherings. If you might be available to organize youth groups at the beach over the summer, please reply to this email!
Wednesday, May 31, 6:30 PM I will be offering a Liturgy for Peace & Justice in the St. Andrew's chapel, and you are all invited to participate instead of our typical youth group gathering (we can still do check-ins afterward!) The service will involve a lot of singing, including simple chants and call-and-response songs, and we will pray for God to move our world toward justice. I hope you can be there--all are welcome!
It sounds like a great group is coming together for our High School Summer Service Trip (July 20-28): The trip will involve travelling to the Texas-Mexico border, and being of service to that population through a reputable organization. Our former youth director is doing all the planning and our new youth director (currently being interviewed) will travel with the group. If you were not able to attend the info session, but want more information, please contact Mother Brenda.
