Sunday was such a great day! Two of our students, Abby Wilson and Evan Dickerson, both did wonderful jobs in giving reports on their youth camp experience. Then, Rhys brought an excellent message from James 3 on “La Boca.” This is translated from Spanish as “The Mouth,” but it refers to what James calls “the tongue,” or the things we say. In the 11:00 service we were able to rejoice with Sawyer Hart, Reeslyn Grob, Sawyer Harrelson, and Bella Steelman upon their professions of faith. It is so exciting to see how God continues to move!
We are looking forward to this coming Sunday as the Sanctuary Choir presents their patriotic-themed musical. This was originally scheduled for July 3rd, but had to be rescheduled due to COVID. The presentation will feature Betsy Ross (Jet Clogher), a dramatic reading of Johnny Cash’s “Ragged Old Flag” (Aiden Miltier), and “The Star Spangled Banner” on cello (Andrew McKnight); all alongside our spectacular, Spirit-filled choir! The expression of our patriotism is not the worship of America, but rather the worship of our God who established, blesses, and protects America!
I want to thank everyone who has made donations and pledges toward the building of our gym. But folks, we are still a little over $100,000 away from our need. My conviction has not diminished in the least. God is in this, and we could not have achieved the balance already given/pledged without His movement among us. With God’s inspiration, WE CAN FINISH THIS! And, we need to do it NOW! We are in the process of getting the latest update in pricing from our contractor, and then the only thing that stands between an empty lot and breaking ground on the new gym we have dreamed of is $100,000. Currently, the total donations and pledges stand at $848,096. This leaves us $101,904 away from breaking ground. Thank you to everyone who has given so faithfully and generously!
Jesus is Lord - From Sea to Shining Sea !
