Trenton River Days

On Saturday, September 17th PNRA/Mercer brought rowing to Trenton's South Riverwalk Park as part of Mercer County Park Commission's River Days Fesitval.

The Festival showcases the activities that people can participate in at the Mercer County Parks and local community.  For PNRA and its Mercer Rowing Program it presents an opportunity to introduce rowing as an activity that they can join in.  By trying out the ergometers under the tutelage of the Mercer Juniors, not only were attendees able to try rowing but also earned stamps that could be redeemed at food trucks.

Thank you to all those who helped volunteer!

Save the Date: Fall Fundraiser

SAVE THE DATE : SATURDAY, NOV 19th 12-2:30 pm at Conte's

It is time again for the Mercer Fall Fundraiser. One of the main features of the fall fundraiser is the Auction. But an auction is only as good as the items that are listed.

We already have some fun items lined up for the Auction but we are looking for more items to add before it goes live later this month. This is where we need your help. If you have any goods or services you'd like to donate, please contact Hilary or Kris.

In past years we have had some amazing items donated by parents from handmade quilts to gift cards to professional consultations! Please reach out if you've got ideas or items for the Auction!

Items include rides along with coaches for practices

THANK YOU JOE!

Some of the key people at any major event are the ones that you hope that you will never have to call upon to go into action.  For PNRA this includes the West Windsor Emergency Services.  This month, the person who has coordinated the EMTs for all of our events, Joe Gribbins, is retiring. And while we are sure that his shoes will be filled, we do want to say good luck on your retirement and thank you for all that you have done to make our events a success!

What does rowing mean to you:

Rowing has become one of the most important activities within my life. I started rowing to push myself out of my comfort zone and every day it always comes back to that notion. Through Covid, the disciplinary component alongside the friendships I've made really helped keep me grounded through a hard time. Every aspect of the sport has helped to shape me into a young man, and the fact I wouldn't be the same person without it is why this sport is so important to me.
