This Sunday, while FUUSB is on break, we invite you to take a virtual tour of online services from UU congregations around the country (find congregations at uua.org/find), or enjoy a FUUSB service from the past year on the First UU Society YouTube channel.
Live-streamed and in-person worship and outdoor coffee hour will resume on July 10.

In Memoriam
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Rev. Robert Senghas, our beloved First UU Society minister emeritus and longtime member, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Bob will be greatly missed, and our hearts are with the Senghas family.
A memorial service at FUUSB is being planned for September. We will share more information about the service and a link to an obituary as soon as they are available.

First Sunday Anti-Racism Interfaith Vigil
On the first Sunday of each month, we join with other faith communities in Burlington and around Vermont in standing together in faith against racism. The vigil begins at 1:00 p.m. and goes until 1:30. We will have as many signs as we can supply from our regular Love & Justice signs, but you're invited to bring your own as well. Please join us Sunday, July 3 at 1:00.
Gathering Photos & Stories of Richard Kemp
The family of longtime First UU Society member Richard T. Kemp requests your contributions to a family history project:
If anyone has pictures of Richard T. Kemp or stories to share, please send them to:
The FUUSB Membership Team cordially invites any interested members to join with us in welcoming newcomers by serving as official Welcome Ambassadors at Sunday in-person services. This commitment would involve showing up for services (probably once a month), arriving around 9:30 a.m. and staying through most of the coffee hour. Two Welcome Ambassadors would serve each Sunday, staffing and placing UU materials at tables located in the front vestibule and the side-door entryway. Additional details and a job description will be shared with anyone requesting more information.
Kind, heartfelt welcoming can be expressed in a multitude of ways. Even if you are not able to serve as a Welcome Ambassador at this time, we encourage you, when attending FUUSB events, to continue to extend the kind, cordial welcome so many Society members regularly show toward others who join us. The Membership Team believes that the quality of our “welcome” is one of the most precious features of our Society, one that most memorably defines us as a congregation.
If you are interested in the possibility of serving as a Welcome Ambassador, or if you simply would like more information, please contact Deborah Ragione at [email protected] or (802) 497-2346.
We look forward to hearing from you!
