Zhang Qiang and Xiao Yue were no different than the thousands of other couples preparing for a wedding last Saturday, May 21, in China, except for one thing:

They are members of Early Rain Covenant Church in Chengdu.

As a result, last weekend did not end with them being pronounced husband and wife but rather with them being detained and then released from the Chengdu police station, with orders not to proceed with the ceremony.

Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Foley and Dr. Foley

Members of the Gonda Street Baptist church in Mariupol gather to bury their deacon, Vladimir Redkokashin, on April 26th.

Despite this and other atrocities in Mariupol, small groups of believers continue to meet for worship, partake of the Lord's Supper, bury their dead, and carry out the work of the church.

They are serving their neighbors, through intercessory prayer and by sharing whatever they have, even at the cost of their lives.

Did you know the NK government creates videos to train its security agents to recognize and hunt down Christians?

Mr. C, our Underground Technology student saw one of these videos while in North Korea and told us that he witnessed underground Christians in the video.

Please pray for the widows of the five men who died in Mariupol, Ukraine. Some of these women have children. Please pray for the Lord’s comfort and provision for each of these families. Pray also for the man named Vova, whom some of these men led to the Lord just days before their death.

Pray for God’s leading about regional meetings for Underground University (UU) – Ask God to lead us and our students about how to hold Bible translation meetings in the major regions of the South Korean countryside. We’ve found Bible translation to be good discipleship for our UU students and the best form of discipleship for the new NKs we meet from around Korea.
