The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) Rate Review Advisory Group (RRAG) has been established by MDH to provide a formal, consistent, and unified approach for stakeholders of the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to impact the review of Medicaid rates for Home and Community Based Waivers services for approximately 18,000 Maryland citizens.
Day Habilitation rates have been identified as an FY24 priority for review.
This review process will rely on data collection from the DDA provider network specific to transportation costs and staffing ratios. To support this process, a data collection tool has been developed and is available under the June 17, 2022 meeting agenda on the designated RRAG webpage. This tool includes instructions, however, providers of Meaningful Day services should hold their data collection if they have questions for the scheduled training session on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 4:00PM to 5:00PM. To ensure adequate time for data collection and subsequent analysis, the next RRAG meeting will change from July 15, 2022, to July 29, 2022, from 12:30PM to 2:30PM.
