FIREWORKS REMINDER
Despite the State of Ohio passing legislation to allow fireworks on certain dates, please remember that in most cases it is still illegal in most Painesville Township neighborhoods to discharge fireworks, even on the allowed dates.
Below are some of the most pertinent regulations regarding where and when they can be discharged for the 4th of July holiday in the state and Painesville Township. As you will see, because of the law, the discharge of fireworks is likely still not permitted in most residential neighborhoods in Painesville Township.
The Following restrictions still apply:
Fireworks shall not be discharged within:
~150 feet of any spectators
~150 feet of any structure
~450 feet of railroads
~300 feet of any healthcare, residential care or educational facility
~on any street, highway, alley or public roadway
Allowed Dates and Times:
July 3, 4, and 5, and the weekends immediately before and after
Between 4 p.m.-11 p.m.
