Update from President Blue

I’ve been out and about quite a bit so far, attending the state association meeting in Illinois, Oregon, and Wisconsin. Thank you to Tom Fellows and Chris Doty from Oregon and Mark Servi and Jon Johnson from Wisconsin for being such great hosts. It’s amazing to see that most everyone around the country in our line of work is focused on similar issues including road construction and maintenance techniques, road safety, work zone safety, innovative bridge designs, culverts, trenchless technology, ROW acquisition and of course funding. These are all a part of our everyday work as county road officials. I look forward to learning more in the coming months as I meet with members from Washington, Alabama, and Texas.
