Every boating season brings a colorful mix of both new and familiar faces to the dock staffs of Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South. Being a seasonal job, our dock crews are primarily staffed by college and high school students on break for the summer.
Christian Sunkler, center, is entering his fifth year of Haven Harbour Marina dock crew membership. From Rock Hall, he grew up sailing with his family and enjoys the camaraderie of working on the docks.
In her second year with us, Mia Durante, from Royersford, Pa. and pictured far left, will be attending the University of North Carolina Wilmington to study Spanish and pursue an eventual career in nursing.
Bella Hinefelt, from Rock Hall and pictured far right, is quickly learning the ropes in her first year on the docks. She will be entering freshman year of high school in the fall and hopes to play soccer and softball.
Like Bella, Bryce Jacobs (second from left) is also in his first year with us, a Rock Hall native and entering high school in the fall. He enjoys playing baseball and shooting pool.
"I'm excited for what this season will bring," said Bobby Fisher, dockmaster at Haven Harbour Marina. "We have two newcomers in Bella and Bryce who are showing great promise, and I'm happy to have Christian and Mia for another year."
