Visiting Nurse & Hospice 'Caregiver Respite Program' Named Wilton Women's Club 2024 Fundraiser Beneficiary

Wilton Woman's Club has selected the Visiting Nurse & Hospice 'Caregiver Respite Program' as the beneficiary of its 2024 spring fundraiser. This generous gift will help provide much needed support in the form of respite care for those who are caregivers for family members.

“We will continue this important work, but times have changed especially for seniors” said Mary Ross, VNHFC Administrator. “People are living much longer and caregivers themselves are aging out. We now have situations of the elderly caring for the elderly, often bedridden loved ones. There are no breaks even for their own doctor appointments. The mental, emotional, and physical stress is simply enormous — it is immediate. The money we receive will go toward providing at least five hours of respite care per week to as many people as we can reach." (goodmorningwilton.com, 2023) Click here to read more.

New Canaan's Andrew Armstrong Performs at Waveny

The sounds of Bach, Gershwin and a little Silent Night filled our halls as we had the privilege of hosting New Canaan's own internationally renowned pianist Andrew Armstrong, along with violinist, Stefan Jackiw, for a concert for our residents and their families on Main Street. Thank you Andrew and Stefan for making time during this busy season to perform for us!
