Wheel Club offers inclusion, independence for riders

More than 80 attendees from a dozen states attended the RiteCare Conference hosted by the Munroe-Meyer Institute in September.

MMI faculty recognized as Circle of Distinction

The four MMI professors were part of 50 faculty members and their corresponding benefactors who were honored during the event.

Autism Eats hosts second judgment-free dinner for families

A sensory-friendly dining experience hosted by the Munroe-Meyer Institute and Autism Eats, a national organization, drew 50 guests in October.

The event, held at Zio’s Pizzeria, offered a pre-paid pizza buffet in a dim, quiet party room. This was the second time MMI and Autism Eats have teamed up for one of the judgment-free dinners.

Members of the Omaha Police Department chatted with guests, many of whom dressed in costume.

Attendees left with candy, decorated cookies and balloon art.
