Learn about Scouting activities & programs
Scouting Adventure Con, held June 8, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at the Sharonville Convention Center, is an exposition of Scouting programs available to your Scouts from your district, Dan Beard Council, and other organizations from around the tristate.

Scout leaders, Senior Patrol Leaders, and parents will have the chance to talk with representatives about how to incorporate these activities into their unit program, learn about new opportunities available to your Scouts, unit calendar building training sessions, and more!

Unit Leaders – Weeks are Filling Up Fast for Camp at Cub World!
Unit Leaders - your estimates are being held though March 31 at 11:59pm. We encourage you to register your individual Cub Scouts and Adults before this time so you do not lose your spots in your preferred week of Cub World Adventure Camp!

On April 1 at 12:00AM, any spots you did not register youth or adults in will be forfeited and up for grabs for other units.

FREE SLUSHIES: To encourage your Cub Scouts and Parents, any Cub Scout registered with a down payment of $50 by March 31 at 11:59pm will receive a FREE Cub World branded Slushie Cup and a FREE Slushie each day at camp! Weeks are filling up fast, so you do not want to forfeit your spots!

Join your fellow Scouts at Peterloon 2022: Prepared. For life. held September 30 -October 2! Get ready to discover, explore, experience, create participate, play and engage with thousands of other Scouts as you traverse the three unique adventurous activity areas at Peterloon. Cub Scouts: Join in the FUN at the Cub Fun Shoot!
If your Cub Scouts can’t get enough Shooting Sports, this is the perfect event for your Pack! Join us at Cub World on Saturday, April 9 between 9am–3pm (also in September) for a round-robin style sampler of some great shooting activities!

Instructors will be present to guide Scouts as they enjoy activities like Archery, BB shooting, Sling Shots, Hammer Toss, and even tomahawks for the grown-ups!

CAMP UPDATES
Scouts BSA – Attend a Session of NYLT & Save on 2nd Week of Camp!
This program is designed to provide members of Scouts BSA with leadership skills and experience they can use to lead themselves and others throughout their lives!

Registration for the 5 Sessions of NYLT are live. Scouts 13 or older and are at least First Class, or a member of a Crew, Ship or Post, are encouraged to register for this weeklong leadership training. 

Did you know? A Scout that attends 1 course of NYLT & 1 week at Camp Friedlander is eligible for a $100 discount on their second week!

Scouts, Come Learn New Skills as Camp Staff this Summer!
Did you know that Camp Staff is a professional job? Working in the Camp environment cultivates skills such as:

• Oral Communication Skills
Critical Thinking and Problem Solving
Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
Collaboration (Teamwork!)
and Creativity! 

Youth can begin working on camp staff at 16 years old (CIT 14-15), which allow them to begin building these skills early.

Join us for a fun and exciting Camporee hosted by Dan Beard Council's Districts that lets Scouts experience traditional Scouting activities in an outdoor setting. Troops can choose the Camporee event that is most convenient for them for a weekend of fun, fellowship and adventure:




Help the Jewish Committee on Scouting with Service Projects!
The Jewish Committee on Scouting is planning service projects spring and summer involving the Jewish Cemeteries of Cincinnati. These include decorating the graves of Jewish war veterans and holocaust survivors.

Cincinnati Teamwork Challenge: A Unique Opportunity to Support Local Scouting
Cincinnati Teamwork Challenge is a new adult corporate event held on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 9am-5pm at Camp Friedlander that will challenge your team to work together to solve a variety of complex challenges in nature with 100% of the proceeds going to support local Scouts in Cincinnati and Warren County!

We are looking for volunteers to help with this event by becoming level one COPE certified. There will be a training course the weekend of May 13-15 at Camp Friedlander. Please contact Cliff Bailey if you have questions at cliff.bailey@scouting.org.
