Dear Parents,

It was great to come back to a full week of school at Kids For Kids Academy. As we enter October, many of our classes are starting to look a lot like Halloween is around the corner. We are super excited about our upcoming Halloween Happening event and even more excited to be inviting our parents back to our campus to celebrate with us. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 26th. The times for each class are posted outside the school on the flyer if you wish to attend.

If you have not already done so and are able, please send in a bag of candy to donate to our homeless candy bag project so homeless kids can enjoy the simple pleasure of a bag of candy for Halloween. Please also consider donating a bag or box of non-candy items for our costume parade. There are some suggested items on the flyer outside the school on the whiteboard.

We are so grateful that our area did well with the hurricane that devastated our neighbors in other areas. I again wish to thank my wonderful staff for preparing the school before and after. MY TEAM IS THE BEST!!!! We are all so lucky to have them.

Next week we will have an in-house field trip on Thursday, October 14th for our East Wing classes. You will see a nominal charge if your child is in school. On October 15th our main wing classes will have a storytelling visit from the Country Walk Library. There is no cost for this activity. You will also notice on Monday that the annual Brightwheel Fee of $45 will be billed to all accounts.

Moving forward on Fridays when I am not on site, you will see someone sitting in my office. Vivian Calvo Cheatham has been our bookkeeper, accountant, payroll clerk, and financial planner since our opening in 2005. We welcome her now as our Chief Financial Officer at Kids For Kids Academy. Please take a moment to peek into my office and say hello when you see her. She will be here Fridays from 10:00-4:00. I am excited to have her expertise on site!
