Business Resources | Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant
Now Open - Application Period | May 17 to August 12, 2022

The California Microbusiness COVID-19 Relief Grant Program provides grants of $2,500 to eligible microbusinesses impacted by COVID-19. Grants are a first-come, first-serve basis. Please apply as soon as possible.

Here are the grant requirements:
  • Applicants must have been in business prior to 12/31/2019
  • Must have had less than 5 full-time equivalent employees in 2019 and 2020
  • Must have less than $50,000 (and greater than $1,000) in gross income in 2019
  • Must not have received the California COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant
  • Business must be operating operating or have a plan to reopen
  • Business must have been significantly impacted by COVID-19
  • Business must be the owner’s primary means of income

Adriana López Vermut empezó su vida profesional en el mundo del emprendimiento, trabajando en pequeñas empresas tecnológicas y luego en una empresa de capital de riesgo. En el 2008 Adriana abrió Pica Pica Arepa Kitchen, un restaurante ofreciendo arepas venezolanas,100% libre de gluten. El primer local abrió en el Oxbow Public Market en Napa Valley, CA seguido por dos locales en la ciudad de San Francisco. Pica Pica introdujo el concepto de arepas venezolanas en el área de la bahía, reconocido en el Food Network con Guy Fieri en "Diners, Drive In’s, and Dives". Adriana tiene experiencia abriendo negocios de comida, manejando operaciones, y mercadeo, desarrollando diferentes canales para monetizar el concepto, con ventas en un local, en Internet, farmer’s mercados, delivery y catering.
