Permanent COVID Testing Site Available for Los Altos Community

In partnership with Curative, the City launched a permanent COVID-19 testing site open Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM-3:00 PM, situated adjacent to the Neutra House in the Los Altos Community Center parking lot.

Redwood Grove Nature Preserve Summer Camps Return After Hiatus

The City's Redwood Grove summer camps return after being on hold due to the pandemic. Camps are available in one to two-week long increments for children from 3.5 to 11 years old. The camp is designed to help children understand and explore their natural environment through hands-on activities.

Environmental Commission Holding Reach Code Workshops This Week

In November 2020, the City Council adopted Reach Code Ordinances-new building standards codes that are more advanced than those required by the state- to achieve sustainability and greenhouse gas reduction goals. To further support the goals of the Los Altos Climate Action and Adaptation Plan, Reach Code workshops are being held this week to learn more and provide input on the next steps of the Reach Codes implementation.

Public Arts Commission Spreading Kindness through Rock Painting

The Public Arts Commission is hosting a free rock painting event at Grant Park on Saturday, June 25, from 10 AM-12 PM. Paint a kindness rock to keep and another to be placed with the newest art sculpture, 'Henry the Dog'. Space is limited; registration can be accessed through the link under 'Special Events' or by emailing rec-info@losaltosca.gov. All supplies will be provided.
